Video: Betty Grable "Welcome to the Diamond Horseshoe"
Diamond Horseshoe is a 1945 Technicolor musical film starring Betty Grable. It was directed by George Seaton. The film was a remake of the 1933 Clara Bow film Hoop-La, which itself was a remake of the 1928 film The Barker.
Nice article, Dawn! Grable's pin-up picture was so darling. I was surprised to learn that she actually posed that way because she was early in a pregnancy, and her tummy had started to show. Boy, I wish my backside had looked that good when I was pregnant! Oh, and I looked at your poll, and though I like those movies, my favorite is one I just saw a few weeks ago. The Shocking Miss Pilgrim. Not a typical Grable film, but it was so much fun. Ever seen it?
